Six officers face misconduct hearing over Cardiff car crash

Six police officers will face misconduct proceedings following their investigation into the deaths of three people in a car crash.

Sophie Russon, 20, Eve Smith, 21, Darcy Ross, 21, Rafel Jeanne, 24, and Shane Loughlin, 32, were last seen around 2am GMT on March 4, 2023, after disappearing from a night out.

Two days after the crash, Gwent Police confirmed the car was found on the A48 near Cardiff and three of the five people inside were tragically killed.
