Son of American boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard ‘arrested trying to break into his father’s house after violating restraining order’
Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard’s son was arrested at his father’s Los Angeles home Wednesday morning, according to a bombshell report.
TMZ report He said Daniel Ray Leonard, 25, left the property in the back of a police car ‘after breaching a restraining order’.
The report alleges that Daniel tried to enter the residence by turning the exterior door handles, but it is unclear whether he entered the house.
When police arrived, sources told TMZ Daniel was found near the pool house and was immediately arrested.
Sugar Ray is believed to still be living in a $46.5 million luxury estate in the exclusive Upper Riviera district of Pacific Palisades. It has been offered for sale many times over the past few years but has not sold.
Daniel is the youngest son of Sugar Ray Leonard and his second wife, Bernadette Robi, and the fourth son overall.

Sugar Ray, now 70, had his first son, Ray Jr., with his first wife, Juanita Wilkinson, in 1973. He then had a daughter named Camille with Bernadette.
He and Bernadette later had two more sons, Jarrell and Daniel, but despite the boxing legend’s fame and fortune, their family life remained private.
The relationship between Sugar Ray and her son Daniel is unclear, but the pair have been photographed together many times in recent years; She was photographed with Magic Johnson in the summer of 2025.
In February last year, Daniel’s mother Bernadette posted a cryptic caption on Instagram alongside a photo of Sugar Ray and her husband and son Daniel.
In a photo of the couple standing together on the beach with Sugar Ray’s arm around Daniel’s shoulder, the caption read: ‘Happy Valentine’s Day to my heart!!! ‘I love you both beyond measure and we will get through this phase!’

Sugar Ray had a legendary boxing career in the 70s, 80s and 90s; He fought 40 times and had a total of 36 wins.
He is an Olympic gold medalist and one of the greatest boxers of all time, winning world titles in five different weight classes.
Leonard was part of the legendary ‘Four Kings’, consisting of himself, along with Roberto Duran, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler, throughout the 1980s. They all fought each other, but Leonard was the only one to defeat all three of his opponents.

Daniel’s arrest came just hours before the Leonards were to attend the ‘Big Cause of the Great Fighters’ event to raise money for the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation.
