State authorities are expected to implement govt’s order banning PoP idols with all seriousness: Karnataka High Court

The Supreme Court of Karnataka said that on Thursday, the state government and officials expect all seriousness to implement the order of the government to prohibit the production, distribution and sale of the idols made from the Paris Globe (POP) in accordance with the law.
A section of a section consisting of Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice CM Joshi, on September 15, 2023 to the Urban Development Department (UDD) to apply the Pop Idols Banking, and the other notification to implement a petition by the State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) passed the order.
Production, distribution, sales, etc. While refusing to give any special direction on the subject, the Council said that the government’s notification issued in 2023 was in force and that the authorities were not inclined to pass any order to apply their own orders.
In his petition, KSPCB said that despite the forbidden order, pop idols were producers and that a pop idol production unit in Kumbalgu near Kueni was sealed. However, in spite of this action, pop idols in the sealed unit were released for sale.
However, the government adviser drew attention to the fact that a first information report (FIR) was recorded in connection with the production of pop idols in the Kumbalgudu unit on the Bank, and that further transactions continued.
