Steve Tandy: Wales appoint Scotland defence coach as head coach

The decision to go to Tandy was inspected by the new WRU director of Rugby Dave Reddin.
“Steve’s approach to his own learning and development since his leaving Ospreys has impressed us during the interview.” He said.
“It embodies the collaborative and systematic approach to improve the success I want to instill in our high -performance system.
“Steve is a perfect coach to learn and develop a part of his DNA. These are extremely important features for everyone in our system.”
There was no official news about who would create Tandy’s rear room staff, but Wales will try to hire some coaches participating in the last two campaigns.
Cardiff head coach Sherratt ranked as the attack coach, while the current Harlequins Scrum coach Adam Jones and Gloucester assistant Rhys Thomas are also considered to be under Tandy.
“Steve is a vital part of the future success strategy in Galli Rugby, and I will have time and support to realize the potential of the exciting group of players.” He said.
“A rich experience brings a unique understanding of Wales and the passion and desire of being perfect in the role we have.”
