Storm Ingrid map: Where snow and heavy rain are set to hit this weekend as 60mph winds forecast

The Met Office has issued multiple weather warnings over the weekend as Storm Ingrid descends on the UK bringing heavy rain, high winds and snow.
Three separate yellow weather warnings are in place over the weekend for south-west England, Wales, parts of eastern Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The south-west of England and Wales has been under a heavy rain warning since 2am on Friday and is set to last until 10pm on Saturday as the Met Office warns Storm Ingrid (named by the Portuguese Met Service IPMA) will slowly drift northwards over the Celtic Sea on Saturday.
Frequent bands of heavy showers circle around the center, occasionally turning into longer rains. An additional 20-40 mm of precipitation is expected, and 50 mm in a few exposed areas.
Meanwhile, eastern parts of Scotland will see another 20-30mm of rain, with a few spots likely to see up to 50mm of rain across the region following three days of wet weather lasting until 9am on Sunday. Some places have already seen more than 100 mm of rain. However, above 400-500 meters most of this will fall as snow and rain will be limited to areas below this level.
Northern Ireland will experience heavy rain overnight from 8pm on Saturday until 9am on Sunday. As part of a slow-moving low pressure system, 10-20mm is expected to fall widely and in a few spots as much as 25mm could fall over a 12-hour period, leading to localized flooding and difficult driving conditions.
It will also be windy, with easterly winds reaching 30 to 35 mph inland and 45 to 55 mph on some coasts and higher elevations. The wind will ease after midnight.
Perth and Kinross Council said many roads in the area, including the A94 between the A93 Meikleour junction and the A923 Bendochy junction, and the Queen’s Bridge in Perth, were closed due to flooding from 6am on Friday.
Two people were rescued from a minibus on the B977 near Kintore at around 8.30am on Thursday, while another person was rescued from the car in a separate incident near Banchory around the same time.
Winds of 45 to 50 miles per hour lashed inland across south-west England and Wales; After winds peaked Friday evening, they gradually eased throughout the night and into Saturday morning.
The Environment Agency has issued 30 flood warnings in areas where flooding is expected and 152 in areas where flooding is likely. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency has issued 11 flood alerts and 4 flood warnings. There are three warnings in place across Wales, according to Natural Resources Wales.
Met Office Chief Forecaster Andy Page said: “Unstable weather continues for many across the UK, with persistent to heavy rainfall in parts of Scotland, snow in higher elevations, and strong winds and heavy rain in south-west England and south Wales. Elsewhere it will be brighter, drier weather, with the occasional showers passing through fairly quickly, although it will be a windy weekend.”
