UK households urged to buy £1 item to prepare for WW3 after Russia nuke threat | UK | News

UK households are being urged to stock up on items costing as little as £1 to be fully prepared for the worst-case scenario if Russia attacks the UK.
A key ally of Vladimir Putin has called for the ‘eradication’ of a major UK city with nuclear weapons in his latest chilling letter from the heart of the Kremlin, while Russian senator Dmitry Rogozin has warned more than 20 British facilities could be targeted for attack.
Meanwhile, the well-known TV propagandist Vladimir Solovyov, who also advocates nuclear attacks, grinned and laughed as he appeared on an episode of Russian state television, calling for the bombing of the night program in Oxford and Cambridge to destroy the British elite and universities.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, many analysts feared that this could be the first major step towards World War III.
But although this is highly unlikely, if pressure builds and Russia puts a nuclear warhead on the UK, there are some things we can do now to prepare.
Kromek Group CEO, security expert Dr. Arnab Basu said window sealing tape can help protect your home from nuclear fallout in the event of an atomic attack.
The tape seals entry points around doors and windows and prevents radioactive dust or particles from entering the property after a nuclear bomb attack.
Dr. Basu said: “For those immediately outside the blast zone, the priority is to quickly reach shelter, ideally in the most central part of the building.
“Seal windows and doors with tape to reduce the entry of radioactive dust.
“Survival depends less on escaping and more on protecting yourself from the fallout.”
The tape can be purchased for as little as £1 from online marketplaces such as Shein. If you want a full-fledged kit, a version from Argos retails for £7.49, while similar window sealing strips are available from brands such as Screwfix, B&Q and Wickes.
The UK Government emphasizes that its nuclear deterrent will prevent such a disaster.
Via Gov.uk, he says: “The UK’s independent nuclear deterrent has existed for over 60 years to deter the most extreme threats to our national security and way of life, ensuring our security and that of our NATO allies.
“The risk of nuclear conflict is a remote possibility, but the size, diversity and complexity of the threats the UK faces are increasing, so we must be able to deter the most extreme acts of aggression against us and our NATO allies.”
“The UK has taken a consistent and pioneering approach to nuclear disarmament, but not all states have followed. Some are significantly increasing and diversifying their nuclear capabilities. We must ensure that they can never use their nuclear weapons to threaten us, constrain our decision-making or sponsor nuclear terrorism.
“Sometimes these threats can feel far removed from our daily lives, but the UK must have the capacity to protect itself and its NATO allies. Deterrence plays an important role in keeping the public safe, and giving up our nuclear deterrent would put us all at greater risk.”
“Since April 1969, the Royal Navy has continuously maintained maritime deterrence, with at least one nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarine patrolling the seas undetected at all times, ready to respond to the most extreme threats to the United Kingdom. Its primary purposes are to maintain peace, prevent coercion and deter aggression.”
“This maritime sustained deterrent (CASD) is the most capable, resilient and cost-effective platform on which our independent nuclear deterrent can be deployed.”
