Gabby Logan pays tribute to Welsh legend Terry Yorath after death

Presenter Gabby Logan paid tribute to her father, Welsh football legend Terry Yorath, describing him as a “kind-hearted and generous man” with a “wicked sense of humour”.

The former Leeds United and Wales midfielder died this week, aged 75, following a short illness.

He said his death came as a “shock” even though he knew he had limited time following his poor health.

People from the football world also commented on this post, paying their respects.

Former players including Alan Shearer, Alex Scott and Rio Ferdinand, who have worked with Logan as pundits, sent supportive messages to the broadcaster via an Instagram post.

Other presenters including Traitors host Claudia Winkleman and Davina Mccall also expressed their condolences, with Davina Mccall saying the tribute was “beautifully written”.
