Survey & Land Records D.I. in ACB Trap

Nalgonda:G. Pavan Kumar, assistant inspector in charge of survey and land records at Nalgonda revenue division office, was nabbed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly accepting bribe from the complainant. ACB DSP, Nalgonda district, Jagadish Chandra said that Pawan Kumar was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a man near the collection. He had demanded Rs 35,000 for preparing the investigation report on the land belonging to the man’s mother and aunt. Earlier, Pawan Kumar allegedly accepted an advance bribe of Rs 20,000.

The person to whom the bribe request was made applied to the ACB. The office gave the complainant chemically treated notes to pay as a bribe. After the arrest, Pawan Kumar tested positive for chemicals on his hands. ACB arrested Pawan Kumar and produced him before Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally in Hyderabad.
