Suspect named after 22-year-old dies in ‘stabbing’ in Hounslow | UK | News

A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder after a 22-year-old man died in West London, police said. The Metropolitan Police said Awap Halouf, of Hambro Road, Lambeth, south London, was arrested in Cardiff on Sunday and later charged with murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
The suspect’s name came after officers were called at around 1.47am on Tuesday (June 30) to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road in Hounslow, west London. They attended the scene along with the London Ambulance Service.
The Met Police said 22-year-old Haruun Hassan was found seriously injured at the scene.
Despite all the intervention of the medical teams, unfortunately he died at the scene.
Police said Haruun’s family continues to receive support from specialist officers.
The police later added that an investigation was launched and continues.
Halouf was later remanded in custody and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court in south-west London on Tuesday, July 7.
A 21-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of murder in Cardiff on Sunday and has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
