Suspect sought for alleged assault in downtown core

Police are turning to the public for help to identify a suspect following an alleged assault in Toronto’s downtown core more than two months ago.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a call for an assault in the Yonge St. and Dundas St. W. area on June 12 at approximately 5 p.m.

It is reported that the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal dispute. Cops allege the suspect then assaulted the victim and fled the area.
The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The suspect is described as about 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1, 25 to 30 years old, and a medium build. He was wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.
Investigators released an image of the suspect.
