T.N. Governor cuts security convoy size after PM Modi’s austerity appeal

The number of security vehicles accompanying Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been reduced on his recommendation. This follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the public to reduce consumption of petrol and diesel and minimize the use of means of transport.

According to Lok Bhavan’s press release, as many as 10 security vehicles accompanied the Governor when he attended government and private functions. Now this number has been reduced to four.
