Congress Won 90 per cent Seats in Municipal Polls: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said here on Sunday that the Congress won 90 per cent of the seats in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
“That was the main reason why I said Nene Raju, Nene Mantri,” said socio-religious reformer Sant Sri Sevalal Maharaj while attending a meeting organized in connection with Jayanti. He said Sant Sevalal inspired everyone to walk on the path of peace for humanity and guided 15 crore lambdas in the country.
“It is our responsibility to officially celebrate Sevalal Jayanti. Lambadis played an important role in the Telangana movement. Suresh Nayak and Kavita Nayak sacrificed their lives. Tribals as well as Dalits should be given priority in Telangana. These communities should be given due respect.”
“When I contested as a ZPTC candidate for Midjil in Mahabubnagar, youth in Tandas played an active role in my victory. In my 20-year political career, the Lambada brothers stood by me at every opportunity. The society also supported me in getting the Prime Minister status,” he said.
Revanth Reddy instructed all tandas in the state to lay IT roads. Each hamlet should have a government school as well as adequate road facilities for those living in tandas. Gram Panchayat buildings should be constructed in all tandas with potable water tanks in addition to solar pump sets.
Proper water facilities were not provided in many tandas through Mission Bhagiratha. Highlighting various welfare schemes introduced by the Congress government, he said 20 acres was allocated for setting up Sevalal statue in Nallamala forest and the next celebrations would be organized there only.
