OnePlus 15 Specifications and Key Features
The OnePlus 15 is said to have an IP69K rating, which is higher than the standard IP68 found on most flagship smartphones. This means the phone can withstand high-pressure jets of hot or cold water and can be submerged in up to 2 meters of water for 30 minutes.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, making it the first smartphone in India to feature this high-end processor. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process, it features an octa-core CPU with two main cores clocked at 4.6GHz and six performance cores clocked at 3.62GHz. Qualcomm claims a 20% increase in performance and 35% better power efficiency over the previous model.
OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The screen can reach a peak brightness of 1,800 nits and be dimmed down to 0.5 nits using the ‘Reduce White Point’ option, providing a comfortable viewing experience both indoors and outdoors.
Running on OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, OnePlus 15 offers a redesigned interface, better multitasking, and an innovative Car Sick Mode to reduce motion sickness. The update also brings together all AI-powered tools under a new section called OnePlus AI. Notably, OxygenOS 16 brings Google Gemini integration, allowing the AI assistant to access and analyze data from the OnePlus Mind Space app and Notes. The new AI Call Assistant translates phone conversations in real-time, ensuring seamless communication between users speaking different languages. On the back, the OnePlus 15 sports a triple 50MP camera system consisting of a main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens that offers 3.5x optical zoom. The device offers Ultra Clear Mode and OnePlus’ proprietary DetailMax image engine for sharper, more detailed photos. It includes a 32MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone also supports 4K video recording at 120 fps.
