London to be hotter than Istanbul as Britain set for ‘unseasonably warm’ weather

Britons will be hit by warm weather this week, which is “unseasonably mild” for this time of year, according to the Met Office.
The forecaster said “temperatures in eastern parts of England will peak on Wednesday with the possibility of 18C”.
While temperatures in the capital this week may rise up to 17 degrees on Thursday, the temperature will be 16 degrees in Istanbul and 14 degrees in Madrid. The average November maximum temperature for the south of England is generally 11C.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Temperatures will be generally above average across the UK throughout this week, with temperatures returning to around average next weekend.”
The highest temperature in southern England on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be 17C, before dropping to 16C on Friday and stabilizing over the weekend, the Met Office said.
The forecaster’s spokesman added: “Night temperatures on Wednesday will also be mild, with temperatures dropping to just 14C in some places in the south.
“Further north, the low temperature is expected to be 6 degrees in rural Scotland and rural Wales on Wednesday night.”
The Met Office said on social media: “If you’ve taken off your great coat over the weekend, you may want to put it away again as the warm weather returns.”
The national weather service said temperatures in all regions were several degrees higher than on Sunday.
However, for some, due to the rain forecast, a thinner rain jacket is recommended, which can still be useful.
Forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning for Tuesday despite rising temperatures; Because they expect “more permanent and occasionally heavy rains” to follow Monday’s sometimes heavy rains.
This may affect bus and train services and delay journey times. There is also the possibility that some homes and workplaces will be flooded. The service also anticipates water and standing water on the roads, which could extend travel times.
The Met Office has advised people to stay safe by checking flood warnings in their area and assessing whether their property is at risk of flooding. this criterionpotentially preparing a flood plan and emergency kit.
Also, if you must drive, be sure to slow down, use main roads, turn on your low beams, and give yourself more time to react to slippery surfaces by leaving a larger gap between vehicles. When parking, try to park your car outside flood zones.
