Democratic Social Justice Party extends unconditional support to NDA for Kerala Assembly polls

Leaders of the Democratic Social Justice Party (DSJP), which describes itself as a secular party that prioritizes the interests of the forward communities, said at a press conference here that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented the 10 per cent Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation for the forward communities.

The party alleged that the successive Left and Right fronts in the state were trying to appease the minorities, while the poor sections among the forward communities continued to be neglected.
DSJP president KSR Menon stated that advanced communities, including Christians, who constitute about 20 percent of Kerala’s population, are subjected to discrimination in education and employment, and suggested that a change of government is necessary to solve these problems.
Criticizing the current reservation system, he said that the economically well-off groups generally benefit from the benefits, while those who deserve it the most remain among the poor.

He alleged that the government was involved in irregularities, including gold-related scams, at temples such as Sabarimala and Guruvayur and urged voters to use the election to end corruption.
