Gas lobby desperation as global demand plummets

While the gas lobby continues to shed crocodile tears about taxation deterring new investment, the global gas market tells a different story. What is fraud?
The scam is that Australia’s need to invest more in gas is not supported by global demand; quite the opposite. Why invest?
According to a newly published report by independent energy think tank BlindSolar power generation grew 17 times faster than gas in 2025, and gas’ share of electricity generation continues to decline.
And while Japan’s gas lobbyists cry harder than most and have allegedly met with government ministers twenty times Japan has been leading the way in decreasing gas demand in the last few years.

But as any gas lobbyist who cares about gas will tell you, don’t let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Gas leak. Japan collects more from our gas than we do
