European leaders pressure Trump to reveal how much support US will give Ukraine | Europe

European leaders made a new effort to determine Donald Trump at the level of support he wanted to fight against Russia against Russia, and in case of a permanent ceasefire, he wanted to detail the security guarantees that would provide any European peace in Ukraine.

European leaders, Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer co -chaired by the co -chaired Paris, called the “willing coalition” after a meeting called Trump on Thursday, he spoke to Trump.

The definitive commitments of the European states to the willing coalition have been largely completed, but to what extent the US will be willing to give in terms of intelligence, air support and financing.

Many European countries such as Germany, Spain and Italy have so far refused to make unity commitments. “The focal point should be to finance, arms and educate Ukraine armed forces, a formula that is not very different from Europe’s providing.”

Trump responded to the European lobby, claiming that the Russian leader had gained direct talks with the President of the Ukraine, but Russia rejected such a commitment and maintained his request for the surrender of the Ukrainian region and a commitment to NATO.

Trump has set the date of September 1 for a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy, but it is known that Trump later identified the deadline that he ignored. “We had a great relationship, Tr Trump said in an interview with Putin’s Rightwing News Website The Daily Caller. Now he said that he was very disappointed in the Russian President: “Thousands of people are dying; this is a meaningless war.”

Europe was desperate to make sure that Trump had not washed the hands of the war, but Trump’s disappointment with Putin could not turn it into a plan to drown the Russian economy.

Unlike Russia, Macron in Paris tried to give the impression that it was sticking to Europe’s commitments. He said: “The contributions prepared, documented and approved at the level of defense ministers under the most strict secrecy allowed us to say: This work has been completed and now will be politically approved.”

Europe hopes that Trump for months will activate comprehensive economic sanctions on countries that have imported Russian oil for a long time. The 50% tariffs imposed by the United States to import Russian oil to India seem traditionally seem to have brought Narendra Modi to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi closer to China and Russia’s arms.

Trump, which has been hanging so far with its diplomatic failure, gave the impression of wanting to focus on domestic politics, including crime and economy.

After the summit, the Starmer Office said it was necessary to özenlendirmek to go further further to put pressure on Putin to ensure that the hostility is cut.

“The Prime Minister said that Putin could not be trusted because he continued to delay peace talks and carried out terrible attacks against Ukraine at the same time,” he added.

Russia said it would not tolerate European troops in Ukraine after the war.

The willing coalition includes about 30 countries that support Ukraine, as well as Canada, Australia and Japan. He came together repeatedly at the military and political level, but did not publish any detailed action plan reflecting internal divisions and uncertainty about the nature of the US contribution.

With some kind of breakthrough, Europeans began to fruit the plan for us to buy weapons for us to be used in Ukraine. On August 28, the US Department of State announced that Ukraine offered 825 million dollars (£ 615 million, £ 705 million €) and 3,350 Eram long -range viewing missiles.

Finance came from Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and the United States, but the financial contribution of each country has not been announced. Eram missiles have a range similar to the French-British scalp-EG missiles in which Ukraine fired into the occupied Crimea and Russia’s Kursk region.

Zelenskyy said that he did not see any sign that they want to end the war from Russia.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Putin’s European troops in Ukraine, said it would not decide whether to be deployed. He said: “I think we should stop doing Putin too strong.”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz described Putin as the most violent war criminal of our time.

On Wednesday, Putin in Beijing attended a military parade with Xi Jinping and greeted the progress of the Russian forces in Ukraine and said that the troops were progressing on all the fronts ”.

However, there are signs that sanctions have damaged the Russian economy after two years of high growth caused by defense expenditures. The Sberbank Chief warned that the country would fall into stagnation unless the economy was stagnant on Thursday and the Central Bank did not reduce interest rates, one of the most powerful bankers of Russia.

The Russian war economy grew by 4.1% in 2023 and 4.3% in 2024, but sharply slowed down under the weight of the high interest rates required to reduce inflation.
