Theo Nolan-Isles, 37, charged with allegedly inciting violence towards politicians on social media

A person who allegedly encouraged violence against politicians on social media was arrested.
Police will allege the man made a series of threatening posts on a social media site on January 20 encouraging violence against “certain politicians”.
Officers arrested a 37-year-old man at Valley Heights in the NSW Blue Mountains on Sunday morning.
The man, identified in court records as Theo Nolan-Isles, was taken to Blue Mountains Police Station where he was charged with using a transportation service to threaten, harass or offend and incite the commission of a crime.
He was refused bail to appear before the Bail Division Court on Sunday.
This comes at a time when allegations of threats against politicians are increasing across Australia.
A Perth teenager was charged on Wednesday after allegedly threatening to kill Anthony Albanese and Chris Minns on social media.
Separately, a man on the NSW Mid North Coast was granted bail earlier this month after he allegedly threatened the Prime Minister in a social media video.
Neo-Nazi Joel Davis is also being held for allegedly inviting members of a Telegram social media channel to “rhetorically rape” independent Wentworth MP Allegra Harcama.
NSW Opposition Leader Kellie Sloane also spoke out about the threats she received after condemning a neo-Nazi rally in Sydney last year.
