Naveed Akram: New photos show alleged terrorist holding weapons, evidence found on mobile phone

Shocking new details about the Bondi terror attack have emerged as Downing Center Local Court approved the release of bombshell hidden documents.

Mentioning the “Bondi attack” that took place as early as October 2025, the dossier includes extraordinary new photographs capturing the alleged movements of the accused Naveed Akram (24) and Sajid Akram (50).

The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT), made up of members of the NSW Police, Australian Federal Police and ASIO, has prepared a brief for the court detailing the allegations that led to the horrific attack that left 15 innocent people dead.

The memo alleged that Naveed booked a property in Campsie through Airbnb in October 2025. According to the document, this reservation was made for the facility between December 2 and December 21.

This Airbnb consists of five rooms that can be booked individually. It is unclear whether Naveed stayed with other people in other rooms at the Campsie Airbnb during his stay.

CCTV footage shows Naveed carrying a large and bulky item. Police claimed the item concealed two single-barreled shotguns, a Betetta rifle, four homemade improvised explosive devices consisting of pipe bombs and a tennis ball bomb, as well as a large IED bomb, and two Islamic State flags.

The items were allegedly placed in a silver Hyundai car at 2.16am.

CCTV later recorded the father and son returning to the vehicle at 5.09pm before heading to Sydney’s inner east.

On the way from Campsie to Bondi Beach, CCTV recorded the car stopping at Woollahra.

Sajid was seen exiting the vehicle and checking the trunk before re-entering the vehicle.

The car was spotted on security cameras on several roads before arriving at Bondi Beach.

When the car was parked in Campbell Parade, CCTV captured Naveed and his father removing ISIS flags from the boot of the car and placing them on the front and rear windows of the car.

The father and son allegedly walked a short distance towards the footbridge at Bondi Beach and NSW Police believed they threw some of the explosives into the car park below.

Shocking photographs of the bombs were published as part of the fact sheet.

The police then claimed that the deadly shooting began.

Evidence allegedly found on Naveed Akram’s phone

An iPhone has been seized by NSW Police following the deadly terror attack in Bondi.

Further devices were later seized at the Bonnyrigg address and at the Airbnb where the defendant was staying.

According to the fact sheet, JCTT found “relevant videos and images” on these devices that showed Naveed and Sajid “adhered to religiously motivated violent extremist (RMVE) ideology.”

In a video file allegedly reported in October 2025, Naveed and Sajid are seen sitting in front of the ISIS flag.

In the video, the father and son were seen reading a chapter from the Quran before speaking in English, talking about the “Bondi attack” and condemning the actions of “Zionists”.
