Primary teachers in Andhra Pradesh seek payment of pending arrears

Andhra Pradesh Primary School Teachers Association (Appta) leaders on Saturday, July 12, 2025, called the state government to clear the waiting dues of employees and teachers, to create the payment revision commission (PRC) and to announce temporary relief without delay.
In a letter addressing Prime Minister N. Chandrabababu Naidu, the association’s state president Ags Ganapathi Rao and Secretary General K. Prakash Rao said that more than a year has passed since the government participated in the task, but could not keep their promises during the elections.
At least four love allowances (da) stated that the installments were waiting and demanded the government to release at least some of the amount.
They said that the employee and teacher unions showed tremendous patience, given the financial situation of the state and the transition to a new government. Ganapathi Rao said, “But as time goes by, dissatisfaction is brewing between them,” he said.
They demanded the immediate payment of PRC debts and the dues of the surrendered leaves that were not paid for more than three years.
