Bank of England must plan for a financial crisis triggered by Aliens, says former policy expert

Britain should plan for a financial crisis that would be triggered if the US government announced the existence of aliens, a former Bank of England expert has said.
Helen McCaw, a senior analyst in financial security at the UK central bank, wrote a letter to Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey, urging him to resort to contingencies if the White House confirms the existence of alien life. The Times.
Ms McCaw worked for a decade at the Bank of England until 2012, when she said politicians and bankers could no longer ignore rumors of alien life and warned that a statement of this nature could trigger the collapse of the banks.
He reportedly said: “The United States government appears to be in the midst of a multi-year process to declassify and disclose information regarding the existence of a technologically advanced, non-human intelligence responsible for Unidentified Anomalous Events (UAPs).”
“If UAP is proven to be non-human-caused, we may be forced to accept the existence of a force or intelligence greater than any government and with potentially unknown intentions.”
His warning comes as senior American officials have recently expressed belief in the possibility of alien life.
In a recently released UFO documentary, Age of Disclosure, According to the film’s description, 34 US government officials, including military and intelligence community officials, were interviewed about “an 80-year global cover-up of intelligent non-human life and a covert war among major countries to reverse engineer advanced technology of non-human origin.”
Director Dan Farah spoke with sources including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, New York Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to discuss the government’s work on Unidentified Anomalous Events, or UAPs, the official term for UFOs.
“We’ve seen over and over again examples of something operating in airspace, on restricted nuclear facilities, and it’s not ours,” Marco Rubio told the documentary filmmaker.
Ms McCaw said: “The announcement of the UAP is likely to cause ontological shock and trigger psychological reactions that will have material consequences… Financial markets may experience extreme price fluctuations due to catastrophe or euphoria, and confidence may collapse if market participants feel uncertainty about how to price assets using any of the familiar methods.”
The former employee of the Bank of England said there may be a shift towards assets perceived as “safe” such as gold or other precious metals and government bonds.
Alternatively, if people predict that new space travel technologies will soon increase the supply of precious metals, precious metals could lose their status as perceived safe assets, he said.
