Sydney man charged with child abuse material
A Sydney man has been charged with allegedly importing a child-like sex doll and producing and possessing AI-generated child abuse material on multiple digital devices.
Officers at a postal facility in Sydney detected a shipment from Asia for targeted inspection, AFP said in mid-August.
Upon further inspection, police found a sex doll that resembled a child. The item was seized and as part of initial investigations officers executed a search warrant at Lalor Park on September 8, 2025, where they spoke to the 59-year-old man.
Within the scope of the search warrant, many items, including digital devices and children’s clothing, were seized.
Subsequent investigations allegedly uncovered a significant amount of AI-generated child abuse material, as well as documents linked to the import of a child-like sex doll.
The man was arrested on October 16 and appeared in Blacktown local court on Friday where he was refused bail. He is expected to appear in the same court on October 20, 2025.
