Friendly seal plays with people in adorable scenes at City Beach

Beachgoers got a cute surprise when a friendly seal joined them for a swim at City Beach on Monday morning.
The video, published on Perth Is OK, shows the seal frolicking in the water as a group of people watch.
The seal slowly approaches the man holding a child and bobs his head above the water, seemingly saying “hello” to the couple.
Other beachgoers are seen enjoying the crystal clear water and sunny weather under classic blue WA skies as they approach seals as they play.
“Awwww,” one commenter said.
“Insanity,” said another commenter, perhaps referring to the seal’s courage in getting so close to its human admirers.
This was the second documented seal encounter in Perth this summer after a seal jumped into the Cottesloe shark net and attacked a suspected stingray while swimmers watched.
“There was some excitement at Sea World Cottesloe this morning. Beachgoers watch as a seal jumps into a shark net and mauls a stingray in front of a swimmer,” read the caption of the video posted by Harry Reiffer.
“The swimmer didn’t seem too worried about watching the seal exact its revenge on Steve Irwin.”
