A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a 17-year-old boy died outside a Sydney school on Monday.
Emergency services were called to Caballo Street, on the border of Rouse Hill and Beaumont Hills, at around 4.20pm on Monday.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 17-year-old boy with stab wounds in his legs.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attempted to treat the child but he died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established while NSW Police investigate the incident.
At around 7.30pm, a 15-year-old boy reported to a police station in Sydney’s northwest and was arrested there.
On Tuesday morning, the 15-year-old was charged with murder in the alleged fatal stabbing of the 17-year-old.
“This boy has now been charged with murder,” a NSW Police spokesman said on Tuesday.
“He was denied bail to appear in juvenile court later today (Tuesday, November 25, 2025).”
Police are still trying to piece together details surrounding the fatal stabbing.

It was understood that at least two boys were seen running away from the scene after the alleged stabbing, and at least one of them was wearing a school uniform.
Police were seen combing the conservation area where the alleged murder took place, located between Ironbark Ridge Public School and Rouse Hill High School.
NSW Police believe there is more than one witness to the alleged murder.
Detective Inspector Naomi Moore said: “This would have been a terribly challenging situation for witnesses and I can only praise them for their efforts.”
“It was a potentially dangerous situation that they walked into, but they didn’t think to go in and provide assistance.”
Attorney General Michelle Rowland shared her condolences to the 17-year-old boy’s family on social media following the fatal stabbing.
“My thoughts and deepest condolences are with the young boy’s family at this extremely difficult time,” he wrote.
“I know this news will be particularly distressing for local families.
“Rest in peace.”
The identity of the 17-year-old boy who died has not yet been determined.
