Ajaz Khan booked by Indore Police for circulating fake news on social media

An FIR has been filed against Bigg Boss fame and actor Ajaz Khan for the spread of fake news and objectionable content on social media.

As confirmed by Crime Branch Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Indore) Rajesh Dandotiya, the actor was summoned to the police station after lodging an FIR.

Speaking to ANI, Indore ADCP said, “An FIR has been filed against actor Ajaz Khan in the Crime Branch for sharing fake news and objectionable content on social media. After the FIR was filed, he was notified and came here to record his statement. His mobile phone was seized in connection with a two-month-old case. Many fake news about the incident were circulating on social media. 32 accounts were blocked and a complaint was lodged against 68 accounts.”
He also explained that the case was filed following allegations that a video with highly objectionable content was spread on actor Ajaz Khan’s social media account.

“After receiving the commission’s notice, he came to the police station and was interrogated for 3 hours. Accordingly, legal action was initiated.”

This isn’t the first time Ajaz Khan has gotten into trouble for his social media activities. Earlier, an FIR was lodged against him for an objectionable social media post targeting a YouTuber and his family. The complaint alleged that the video contained a variety of offensive, defamatory, and obscene references to the petitioner, including derogatory comments, inappropriate gestures, and false allegations. In October this year, the Delhi High Court granted anticipatory bail to Ajaz Kha, directing him to furnish surety of ₹30,000 along with a surety in case of his arrest.
