In what he described as an “unprecedented milestone in the history of Telangana”, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy announced that the State Government has sanctioned ₹ 60,799 crore for the construction and expansion of roads across Telangana.

Expressing his gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for approving and allocating funds for this massive infrastructure initiative, the Minister said that the initiative will transform Telangana into a major hub for multinational companies. “These projects will attract investment of lakhs of millions and create employment for lakhs of rural youth,” he said.

Major projects include the ₹ 10,400 crore widening of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway towards elevated lanes, aimed at improving connectivity between the Capital and the coastal region. Another ₹36,000 crore has been allocated for the construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR), a project expected to reshape the state’s transportation network.

Other projects include ₹11,399 crore for Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) projects and tenders will be floated in the next few days. This will involve laying new road networks in rural areas without road access and converting single-lane roads into double-lane roads.

Mr. Reddy said ₹ 8,000 crore has been allocated for a 52 km elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam to improve pilgrim and tourist connectivity. The ₹20,000-crore Greenfield Expressway from Future City (Hyderabad) to Bandar Port via Amaravati will “change the face of the State”, the Minister said.

He said proposals have been finalized to create world-class infrastructure that will attract global investors to Telangana. “With the construction of these new road networks, industries will spread to every corner of the state, bringing huge investment and employment,” he added.
