Spencer Pratt teams up with Karen Bass’ brother to sue LA mayor over fire

Spencer Pratt continued his fight to save Los Angeles just days after accepting the mayoral race against incumbent Karen Bass.
Pratt, 42, publicly endorsed Kenneth Bass, the brother of the Los Angeles mayor who sued the city, state and other agencies as part of a broader legal process filed last month in the wake of the deadly Palisades fire.
“I am proud to work with Karen Bass’ brother to sue his sister for her reckless negligence that led to the destruction of our home,” Pratt posted on Saturday, X.

Kenneth and his wife, Cindy, claimed they suffered physical injuries and emotional distress as a result of the fire that destroyed their Malibu home.
According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Kenneth and a handful of new residents have joined the first Palisades Fire Litigation lawsuit filed against the City of Los Angeles days after flames ripped through the beachside community.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the state of California, the California Department of Parks and Recreation and Southern California Edison are also named as defendants in the lawsuit.
“There is nothing new here – Mayor Bass has spoken publicly about the loss of his brother since January 2025,” a representative for the mayor said in a statement to Fox News Digital. he said.
“Thousands of people are plaintiffs in this case, which includes 18 defendants from the public and private sectors. The City Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for defending the City and DWP in this case.”

In his own lawsuit in January, Pratt accused LADWP of “making a conscious decision to operate the water supply system while the reservoir was drained and unusable as a cost-savings” measure during the deadly L.A. fires, according to the lawsuit obtained by Fox News Digital.

Representatives for Pratt did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
“The Hills” star recently accepted the Los Angeles mayoral race, finishing third behind Bass and council member Nithya Raman.

“I’m moving on to the next more interesting phase. Listen, I spent a lot of time killing everyone. I made fun of everyone in the cast,” Pratt wrote on Instagram.
“You think you can get rid of me that easily? I know a lot of douchebags think I’m in this for a scam, that if I can’t get into City Hall, I’ll pack up and leave town. Hey, you idiots, I didn’t get in this for political power. I got in it to expose this corrupt machine and nothing changed.”“

Last month, Pratt vowed to leave town if he didn’t get the vote.

While chatting with our friend from Los Angeles Adam Carolla From her burned-out lot in Pacific Palisades, the reality star said she was only interested in rebuilding her home if she won the race.
“I’m going to win the lawsuit against Gavin Newsom’s state park, and with that money, if I become mayor of Los Angeles, I’m going to rebuild it,” Pratt admitted.

“If Karen Bass is re-elected or Nithya [Raman] “If I’m elected, I’ll give up trying to live in Los Angeles.”
Pratt stepped up his threat further and said that once he won the case, he would rebound to find a new American Dream.
“I’m going to take this money from Newsom state park and LADWP and go somewhere where my kids don’t have to see naked zombies and I can live the ultimate American dream somewhere,” Pratt said.

“But if these people are in office, I’m not going to rebuild, because what would I be putting the money into?”
