Responsible AI Key To Viksit Bharat: Modi
New Delhi: Responsible and inclusive adoption of artificial intelligence will play a key role in accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday.
In his message to the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Summit organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Prime Minister said that artificial intelligence is reshaping industries and creating new avenues for productivity and innovation.
“When used responsibly and combined with human judgment, AI-powered tools can increase efficiency, strengthen compliance, enable better decision-making, and help professionals deliver greater value,” he said.
The message was read at the opening session of the two-day summit in New Delhi.
He said that as India progresses towards becoming a developed country, responsible and inclusive adoption of artificial intelligence will be critical to this process. He added that the government is taking various initiatives as part of its broader goal of achieving developed country status by 2047.
Appreciating the role of chartered accountants, the Prime Minister said that the profession is witnessing rapid changes due to technological advancements.
“As India embraces the opportunities of the AI era, I am confident that the CA fraternity will continue to uphold the highest standards of integrity and contribute to building Viksit Bharat by leading innovation and excellence in the financial sector,” he said.
Established under an Act of Parliament, ICAI has over five lakh members.
