Police discover two bodies in Werribee home
Detectives are investigating the mysterious deaths of two people after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house in Melbourne’s west on Friday afternoon.
Police were called to a welfare check at the home in Melton Close, Werribee, just after 3.30pm on Friday.
The bodies of a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were found inside.
The cause of their deaths is still unknown and police are awaiting autopsy results.
A Victoria Police spokesman said detectives were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths and the pair knew each other.
Two police cars were stationed in Melton Close on Saturday morning and police tape still cordoned off the house.
talking neighbors Age He said the man and woman had only lived on the property for a year or two and were mostly on their own. No one living on the street remembered emergency services before coming home.
Cecilia Yuen said that when she returned from work Friday night, the street was filled with police cars with blue and red lights flashing.
He said the deaths were “truly unexpected” and he felt devastated for the families of the man and woman.
“I’ve never experienced this in my life…it’s kind of shocking to see,” he said.
“It’s a quiet street and I didn’t hear any arguments or fights.”
