Cylinder blast triggers fire at Goa nightclub, kills 23 staff members

At least 23 staff of a nightclub in North Goa’s Arpora village died in a fire that broke out late on Saturday night (December 7, 2025), a senior official said.
Goa police chief Alok Kumar said PTI It was stated that the fire was caused by a cylinder explosion.
Police General Director said, “At least 23 bodies were recovered. Those who died were club personnel.”
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and local MLA Michael Lobo rushed to the scene. Mr. Lobo told PTI It was stated that no tourists were harmed by the disaster.
