Police are appealing for help after a residence was broken into last month in Leslieville.
Toronto Police said they responded to a break-and-enter call Sept. 15 in the Dundas St. E.-Pape Ave. area, where a suspect gained entry to a residence while the occupants were at home.

Police said the suspect stole property and then fled on foot.
They are looking for a man in his early 20s with a dark complexion and thin build. He was wearing a face covering, a light-coloured top and dark pants.

BUSY WEEKEND ON HIGHWAYS FOR OPP
The OPP’s Highway Safety Division is on the lookout this weekend for impaired drivers, speeders and people operating vehicles without the proper permits.

The department posted on social media Sunday morning that a driver in a white pickup truck with “multiple violations” had their vehicle impounded after being pulled over on Hwy. 407 at Appleby Line in Burlington.
The driver was arrested and charged as well.

Another driver was stopped in the same area and found to be operating a red Honda Accord without insurance and the proper permits.
The driver was also charged and their vehicle was impounded.
