Police issue major update as woman stabbed outside Asda supermarket | UK | News

A 40-year-old woman has been charged with multiple offenses following a stabbing outside an Asda supermarket. Armed officers attended the supermarket in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, Derby, just after 8.35pm on November 5.

Derbyshire Police said police found a woman in her 40s with non-life-threatening injuries to her arm and hand and she was taken to hospital. Officers arrested and charged Lisa Kelly, of Burton Road, Derby, in connection with the incident. The 40-year-old man was charged under Section 18 with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a Class A drug, theft and two counts of possession of a bladed instrument in a public place.

The woman was taken into custody and is expected to appear at South Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The Safer Neighborhood Team has been addressing community safety concerns by carrying out extra patrols in the area following the incident.
