ITAT dismisses Congress’ appeal against Rs 199 crore tax demand

The Income Tax Court of Appeal (ITAT) rejected the application of appeal by the Congress by maintaining 199.15 CRORE Tax request.

The party requested exemption in accordance with the 13A department of the Income Tax Law for the 2018-19 Evaluation Year.

The exemption is given to political parties, although it is brought after the legal deadline and accepts cash donations that violate legal limits.
One month after the long date dated December 31, 2018, the Congress submitted an income tax return on February 2, 2019, one month for that financial year. The Nile revenue after the 199.15 RS Crore was exempted within the scope of Chapter 13a.
