Taleigha Skye: Perth influencer ‘clears up misinformation’ after leaving son alone in Bali resort room

The Perth influencer, who was criticized online after leaving her baby alone in a resort room in Bali, has issued another statement about her “regretful choices” in a bid to clear her name.
Mum-of-two Taleigha Skye’s “bad decision” went viral on social media after the lifestyle content creator shared a TikTok video of herself leaving her holiday room with her six-month-old son to get a foot massage.
People who saw the video expressed concern on Facebook about her actions, which she admitted were a mistake, and drew similarities to the disappearance of British toddler Madeleine McCann, who was left alone in her parents’ Portuguese flat while eating at a tapas bar with her siblings on May 3, 2007.
After making a statement on her Instagram account on Tuesday admitting that she “made a bad decision and I take full responsibility for it,” Taleigha took to TikTok with follow-up comments on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old actor said he wanted to “correct some misinformation” circulating on the internet.
“I didn’t leave the facility,” he said.
“I did not attend the appointment.
“The hotel room was in my direct line of sight, the pool and wellness area were just a few meters away.
“I wasn’t away from the room for a long time.
“I was watching him on the monitor the entire time and was close enough to reach the room within seconds if I needed to.”
Taleigha reiterated that the context he provided was “not an excuse,” but “just to correct what was said.”
“I regret my choices and take full responsibility; this is something I will never do again,” he said.

The influencer limited comments on the post, but two fans were allowed to share some thoughts in support of Taleigha, who is actually an “amazing mom.”
“Everyone who watches you every day knows that you are an amazing mom and that you do what’s best for your babies,” one fan said.
Another said people online were quick to judge Taleigha as a parent without even knowing her.
“People who don’t follow you are so quick to jump in that those who do assume that you know you wouldn’t do anything to endanger those kids, that you know you’re a great mom. I hope this doesn’t take away from the vacation you both deserve.”
Taleigha has over 16,000 followers on Instagram and another 74,000 followers on TikTok. Following the reactions, he made his Instagram account private.
