Taylor, hold our beer! Trump delights fans with dramatic Mt Rushmore flyover as he kicks off America 250 celebrations with newlyweds Bettina and Don Jr and daughter Tiffany

Donald Trump kicked off America’s 250th birthday celebrations by traveling to Mount Rushmore with his son Don Jr and his newlywed wife Bettina; Just as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were exchanging vows at the famous wedding of the century.

The happy couple, daughter Tiffany and her husband Michael Boulos, were with the President as they boarded the new Air Force One and headed to South Dakota on Friday night.

Shortly thereafter, Swift and Kelce married in an elaborate ceremony at Madison Square Garden officiated by comedian Adam Sandler.

After boarding the plane, Bettina shared a photo on Instagram showing a large cookie adorned with an image of Trump’s likeness attached to the iconic monument.

Before boarding the plane, the group shared photos of themselves enjoying the Great American State Fair in Washington DC.

Tiffany and Bettina even found time for a quick mirror selfie on the Presidential Walk of Fame, which runs along the West Columns of the White House.

The trip marks Trump’s triumphant return to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, exactly six years after he held a controversial pre-4th of July event at the monument during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president touched down after passing over the famous statue in the state’s Black Hills.

Former homeland security secretary Kristi Noem was serving as governor of South Dakota at the time and took a hands-off approach to the virus, allowing mass gatherings to occur despite the health risks.

There were also environmental concerns.

That year’s fireworks display was the first since 2009 after the National Park Service halted them due to wildfire risk.

Trump’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic ultimately cost him his re-election in 2020.

But on Friday, the President will fly to South Dakota on his new Air Force One, gifted by Qatar.

The fireworks ban, which was reintroduced during President Joe Biden’s term, has been lifted again.

There is even a bill in Congress, introduced by Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, that would add Trump’s face to Mount Rushmore, which features Presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt.

The event is part of a 250th birthday celebration of Trumpized America organized by Freedom 250, the group Trump created by executive order last January to seize control of the nation’s sesquicentennial celebrations.

Congress created a bipartisan commission called America250 in 2016 to plan the events.

The dueling bands caused headaches, including mass cancellations for musicians booked to play at the Great American State Fair when artists realized the fair was organized by a more partisan organization.

The Great American State Fair was also negatively affected by power outages, low attendance and extremely hot weather.

Temperatures reached 100 degrees on Friday afternoon in Washington, D.C., and the fair was postponed for several hours due to the intensity of the heat.

The Mount Rushmore event comes amid drought conditions in the state.

Ahead of the event, state and federal agencies would issue a “go or no” call on the fireworks display.

The U.S. Wildland Fire Department also created a fire response plan for the Mount Rushmore fireworks. Politico reported.

Trump is expected to return to Washington early Saturday morning ahead of the Salute to America celebration on the National Mall.

This event is also threatened by extreme heat; Temperatures are expected to reach 101 degrees in DC on Saturday.

But Trump remained undecided.

“It’s going to be about 107 degrees on the Fourth of July, and I’m going to go and give a really long speech to show that I can do anything,” the 80-year-old President said Wednesday during a trip to North Dakota to open the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

The President is expected to speak after sunset, around 9:45pm ET, and the ‘world’s largest fireworks display’ is planned for 10:30pm, organizers said.

This means the fireworks show in D.C. could be postponed until July 5 if Trump’s speech takes too long.
