Five dead in mass shooting near German youth centre: Police order people to stay away from the area

Five people are dead following a mass shooting in Germany, police said.
According to initial reports, shots were fired near a youth center in the Dankersstrasse area of Stade in Lower Saxony.
Following the incident, police and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene.
German police arrested a male suspect. They added that the reason for the attack remained unclear.

Local media reported that two police helicopters were circling over the city center.
The identities and ages of the victims and perpetrators have not yet been disclosed by the police.
Stade has a population of approximately 50,000 and is located west of Hamburg.
