Telangana ACB raids 15 locations linked to DE of energy utility in disproportionate assets case

Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, conducted simultaneous searches at 15 places linked to a Deputy Engineer of Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited after registering a disproportionate assets case against him for allegedly possessing wealth beyond his known sources of income.

The official, identified as Muthyam Venkataramana, works as an assistant engineer.

The raids are carried out on the official’s residences, office buildings and relatives’ homes across the country. Investigators are reviewing financial records, bank transactions and documents related to land and other real property to verify the allegations.

The searches came after a case of disproportionate assets was registered against the assistant engineer.

At press time, raids were ongoing and more details are awaited.
