Telangana | Nearly 50,000 electric vehicles sold in over seven months; tax and other charges exempted

Thanks to the electric vehicle policy, the TaLangana Transportation Department gave full exemptions to electric vehicles from taxes and other fees.

According to a report card given by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, 49,633 houses were sold between November 16, 2024 – 30 June 2025. All of these received full exemptions. Up to 37.305 two wheels; 9,085 Four -wheeled without transport; 11.53 Taxis; 1,245 were Autorickshaw and 607 of them were light -wheeled goods.

In order to provide better transportation within the ORR, the transportation department allowed 20,000 electric three -wheeled cars, 10,000 three -wheeled cars working in CNG and LPG, and more 25,000 reinforced Electric three -wheeled cars.
