Tencent FY Q4 revenue beats estimates amid ramp up in AI investments

Tencent On Wednesday, the Chinese tech giant reported annual revenue that beat analyst forecasts as it continues to ramp up investments in artificial intelligence.

Tencent’s full-year earnings performance for 2025 was as follows:

  • Revenues: It totaled 751.8 billion Chinese yuan ($109 billion), exceeding the 750.7 billion Chinese yuan expected by analysts, according to data compiled by LSEG.

“We maintained healthy growth rates in 2025 as AI capabilities improved our ad targeting and supported greater engagement with our games, and our cloud business drove revenue growth and profit at scale,” the company said in a statement. he said.

“Our highly resilient and cash-generating core businesses provide us with resources to fund our growing investments in AI, including hiring top AI talent and upgrading our AI infrastructure.”

The bulk of Tencent’s revenue comes from games, but the company is looking to diversify by expanding into other areas, including cloud computing. The company said it will move its cloud computing unit to Europe in 2025.
