Speaking to CountryLifeJames, 38, has now revealed: “My sister Catherine [The Princess of Wales] He shares his love of bees and has several hives himself; “I wouldn’t say it’s a rivalry, but we’re definitely comparing notes.”
He also explained that he “never stops being amazed” by bees.
Princess Kate is just one of the royals who enjoys beekeeping; King Charles and Meghan Markle also have their own beehives.
In 2023, the Princess of Wales shared a photo of herself in a beekeeping outfit in one of her beehives to mark World Bee Day.
Then just months ago, Princess Kate and Melania Trump stepped out for a joint engagement in September, spending time with a group of Squirrel Scouts on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The Princess organized a packed lunch for the children, which included sandwiches made with honey from Kate’s own beehive.
This isn’t the first time Prince William’s wife has made such a gesture, as she took a jar of her own homemade honey with her during a visit to the Natural History Museum in 2021.
He was heard telling children at the Urban Nature Project event: “Would you like to try some? This came specially from my beehive.”
