US singer D4vd was arrested after the body of a missing teenage girl was found inside his Tesla.
Officers have confirmed that the TikTok star, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been detained in connection with the death of the vanished teenager.
Burke was the subject of a grand jury investigation into the suspected murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez after the remains of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez were found in her vehicle in September.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced Thursday that the 21-year-old is being held without bail and that the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office on Monday for consideration.
The singer has not made any public statement on the matter, but the musician’s representatives confirmed that he is cooperating with authorities throughout the investigation.
Officials stated that records related to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez are prohibited from being made public.
The court order means no details about Hernandez’s death can be released or posted on the Los Angeles County coroner’s office website.
Hernandez’s remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla seized by D4vd on September 8, 2025, following reports of a foul odor in a Hollywood tow truck.
Rivas Hernandez, of Lake Elsinore, California, was last seen in April 2024.
