TN Elections 2026 | Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar and others cast their votes
P.Calls for the crucial Tamil Nadu Assembly elections have begun in all 234 constituencies on April 23 (Thursday). Amid tight security measures, many A-list movie stars, actors, directors and other techies cast their votes at polling stations across the state.
Superstar Rajinikanth along with his daughter and filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth arrived at the polling booth at Stella Maris School in Chennai to cast his vote. Actor-politician Kamal Haasan and his daughter, actor and singer Shruti Haasan, cast their votes at a polling booth in Chennai’s Alwarpet.
Earlier in the day, actor Ajith went berserk when his fans attacked him when he arrived at the polling station at Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai to register his vote. Meanwhile, Jana Nayagan Star Vijay, who is contesting his first election with his party Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam, also registered his vote at a polling booth in Chennai’s Neelankarai.

Many actors including Vikram, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Sasikumar, Arun Vijay, Sneha, Prasanna, Gautham Karthik and Jai have registered their votes. Directors including Sudha Kongara, Atlee and Pa Ranjith were also seen voting. More actors from Kollywood expected to vote at polling stations in the city
