Jack Schlossberg struck a serious tone in his campaign launch video this week, but his digital footprint tells a different story.
The only grandchild of former President John F. Kennedy, Schlossberg is practically political royalty. But to New York City’s chronic online voters, he is better known as the star of hundreds of satirical and often absurd viral videos.
Sometimes she sings weird love songs to Second Lady Usha Vance or trolls her husband, Vice President J.D. Vance. As a surrogate for former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, Schlossberg ran for Sen. He met with Democratic candidates across the country, including former Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.), who lost to Dave McCormick (R-Pa.).
Schlossberg, who phoned a lobster in a fake news segment with satirical renditions of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” has developed a following that any aspiring influencer would envy, with nearly 850,000 TikTok followers and nearly 770,000 followers on Instagram.

“True or wrong: Usha Vance is way hotter than Jackie O,” Schlossberg said on X earlier this year, referring to her grandmother, former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

He later appeared on former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s podcast, “The Blueprint,” calling his own comments “bizarre” and “scary.”
“The Internet is a hard place to break, and it’s hard to break unless you’re saying something controversial or at least somewhat unexpected,” Schlossberg explained. “I see that the Democrats don’t play this game as well as we do, and I guess I’m using my judgment to make posts that I think are funny or stupid but have a purpose…”
Despite his followers and Kennedy connections, Schlossberg has a thin resume. She most recently served as Vogue’s political correspondent during the 2024 presidential election.
He was also a delegate to the Democratic National Committee in 2024 and worked as a staff assistant at the U.S. State Department in 2016. He is a graduate of Yale University and Harvard Law and Business Schools.

According to LinkedIn, Schlossberg worked at the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation for 12 years; He serves first as president of the New Frontier Award and now as president of the Profiles in Courage Award.
Schlossberg is the son of former US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy.
Earlier this year, Schlossberg honored former Vice President Mike Pence with the Profiles in Courage Award for defying President Donald Trump’s demand to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The 32-year-old Kennedy heir is one of those who frequently criticizes Trump. While Schlossberg frequently experimented with accents in his online skits, he made sure to make remarks about the president in his campaign launch video.
In the vertical walk-and-talk style video, Schlossberg attached a mini microphone to his blue button-down shirt and accused Trump of turning his second term into “not capitalism but cronyism and a constitutional crisis with all three branches of government under the control of a dangerous man.”

Earlier this year, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York appointed Schlossberg to the America 250 Commission, claiming there was “no better person to turn back” Trump’s “ego” dominating the celebrations.
Schlossberg has also been a vocal critic of his cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who ran an unsuccessful presidential campaign last year before endorsing Trump and securing a cabinet position as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Schlossberg accused Trump of dismantling the Kennedy legacy and called RFK Jr. “a dangerous person” on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday.
While it’s clear that Schlossberg rejects Trump, his campaign priorities are less clear.

In his campaign launch video, Schlossberg said he would run to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-Y., because New York’s 12th Congressional District must have a representative who can “harness the creativity, energy and drive” of the city and turn it into “political power and drive in Washington.”
His campaign website includes a brief biography and donor links, but no policy proposals, just a list of “12 promises” to residents.

“I really believe that if you don’t have anything else to say in the race, you shouldn’t dive in,” Democratic commentator Kaivan Shroff, a 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign alum, told Fox News Digital. “It’s unclear because that policy page doesn’t exist.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Schlossberg for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
