Traffic restrictions in Delhi on Aug 13 for I-Day rehearsal; check timings, diversions
Vehicles, especially Delhi metro, public transportation vehicles and their travels were recommended to plan in advance.
On August 13, Delhi police issued a traffic consultancy before the full dress rehearsal for the 79th Independence Day celebrations in Red Fort. Traffic consultancy urged vehicles to avoid certain ways in the morning due to broad restrictions in the region. Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, SP Mukhergere Marg, Chandni Chowk Road and Nishhad Raj Marg, including many important roads will be closed for general traffic, he said.
What is the timing of traffic restrictions?
Advisory, Red Castle traffic around the rehearsal day will remain limited from 4 to 10 in the morning, he said.
Where are the deviations?
Consulting will also be available for traffic from the ISBT Kashmere Gate, Salimgarh Bypass, Vikas Marg and other adjacent areas. Ajmer Gate, South Delhi, Mall Road and Paraf Khana, including Delhi’nin buses from different partitions to avoid limited regions were allocated.
Which tools are restricted?
Restrictions will be applied for the movement of commercial vehicles, inter -state buses and city buses on certain roads near the red castle. Vehicles were recommended to use public transport, especially the subway and to plan their journeys in advance.
What will be done in full dress rehearsal?
Full dress rehearsal will include the participation of security forces, cultural troops and other ceremonial arrangements and will be held under strict security. The same arrangements will be reproduced on August 15, Independence Day, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the country from the walls of the Red Castle.

Police called on forbidden items such as cameras, binoculars, remote -controlled car switches, handbags and water bottles. He also said that they want citizens to remain awake and immediately ask the authorities to inform the authorities about suspicious activities or objects.
