Trouble Ahead For YSRC ‘Conspirators’ In Scams, Says AP BJP Chief

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh BJP chief PVN Madhav has hinted that there will be sensational developments soon regarding the Rs 3,500-crore liquor scam and similar irregularities in the state during 2019-24 YSRC.

“Our government is quite determined to fight various scams that took place during the YSRC rule. AP’s liquor scam is one of them. The previous government was involved in many irregularities. Our government will expose them and punish the culprits,” the BJP leader told the media in New Delhi on Monday.

Madhav’s remarks against YSRC went viral, sparking speculation about who from the opposition might be targeted and how soon it would happen.

These remarks also gained significance in the context of former YSRC leader V. Vijayasai Reddy’s tweet on social media, in which he warned party leaders of problems that may come from the government. He touched upon the recent incident in Venezuela, where the president and his wife were kidnapped from the presidential palace by the United States. He said that even the security agencies there were driven to inaction by the US intelligence to facilitate the kidnapping, adding that this should also be a lesson to the YSRC.

Political analysts feel that the Naidu-led government is waiting for the right moment to take revenge for the insult done by the YSRC government to Chandrababu Naidu and others when they were in opposition during 2019-24.

Meanwhile, health minister Satya Kumar Yadav said, “We have found the players in the fraud conspiracy and are looking for the conspirators to catch and punish them.”
