Trump announces 25% tariffs on Japan, South Korea in first U.S. trade letters

President Donald Trump said on Monday that the US will apply 25% blanket tariffs for imports from Japan and South Korea as of August 1st.

Both letters say that 25% tariffs are separate from the additional sector tasks in the key product categories.

“The goods transferred to escape a higher tariff will be subject to this high tariff.” In this case, it seems to refer to the application of transferring goods to a temporary country before the last shipments to the USA to make tariffs for skirts.
