Trump asks Liberian president where he learned English, his country’s official language

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – President Donald Trump, in the praise of a group of African leaders on Wednesday, many of them went to the microphone of the Liberian president and speaking a different language when his country’s official language speaks English.

“We believe in Liberia, the United States’s long -term friend and your policy of making America wonder again.” He said. “We want to thank you very much for this opportunity.”

Trump was impressed and asked where he got Boakai’s language skills.

“Very good English, Tr Trump said. “Where did you learn how to talk so beautifully?”

Boakai seemed to be giggling.

“Is it in Liberia?” Trump asked. “Yes, sir,” Boakai said.

“This is very interesting, Tr Trump said. “There are people who can almost speak on this table.”

Liberia was founded in 1822 as a colony for free black Americans, the brain – the future of white Americans, trying to deal with the brain – the future of black people in the United States when slavery ends. English is the official language of Liberia, but there are more than one indigenous language.
