Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., after President Donald Trump interrupted his State of the Union address Wednesday by shouting. and called Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., “crazy.”

“When you watched low-IQ Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib screaming uncontrollably at the State of the Union, which was such an important and beautiful event last night, they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Wednesday. “LUNATICS are mentally ill and sick, they frankly look like they need to be institutionalized.”

“We have to send them back to where they came from,” he added.

The president then took a shot at actor Robert De Niro, who appeared on MS Now on Tuesday and told Americans to “resist” Trump.

“In fact, they should get on a boat with Trump Deranged Robert De Niro, another sick and demented individual with an extremely low IQ who has no idea what he is doing or saying – some of which are seriously CRIME!” Trump wrote.

“Last night, as I watched her burst into tears like a child, I realized she might be sicker than Crazy Rosie O’Donnell, who is currently in Ireland trying to figure out how to get back to our beautiful United States,” the president said. “The only difference between De Niro and Rosie is that she’s probably a little smarter than him, which isn’t saying much.”

The blistering post came after Omar’s highly contentious State of the Union address, in which she repeatedly interrupted Trump’s remarks on border security and homeland finances.

At various points in the speech, the president shouted “You’re a murderer” and “You’re a liar” while discussing immigration enforcement and accusing Democrats of cutting funding to the Department of Homeland Security.

Sitting next to Omar, Tlaib wore a round button that read “F— ICE,” a reference to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and also voiced her objections during the speech. He also wore a message that read “Stand with Survivors, Release the Files,” an apparent reference to materials related to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Both MPs were seen frowning and raising their opposition voices during parts of the speech before leaving parliament early.

Trump’s post revives the discourse that had previously caused harsh reactions. In 2019, he told progressive Democratic lawmakers, including Omar and Tlaib, to “go back” to the countries they came from; These remarks were widely condemned by Democrats and some Republicans at the time. Omar immigrated to the United States from Somalia as a child refugee and became a US citizen in 2000. Tlaib was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Palestinian immigrant parents.

Later in the evening, while Trump was talking about the Caracas raid that captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, Omar and Tlaib left the hall early.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Omar, Tlaib and De Niro for comment but has not yet heard back.
