Alleged fake casting agent charged with child prostitution
A man in Sydney’s inner west has been charged with multiple offenses including procuring a child for prostitution after allegedly posing as a casting agent to lure young actors into sex acts.
NSW Police said the 57-year-old man was arrested on Friday after police investigated allegations that he falsified documents and posed as a casting agent for an international company and offered fake career opportunities in exchange for sexual activity.
Police officers executed a search warrant at a house in Lewisham on Friday, seizing documents and electronic devices.
The man was charged with false identification, stalking and intimidation, and crimes related to child prostitution.
It was stated that the person, who was refused bail, will appear in court on Saturday.
