Trump EXTENDS Iran ceasefire again as he backs off bombing threat amid chaos among ‘seriously fractured’ Tehran leadership

Donald Trump has abandoned his threat to bomb Iran by extending the US ceasefire, claiming the regime’s leadership is ‘severely fractured’.
The president had previously threatened to restart the war if Iran did not reach an agreement by 8pm on Wednesday.
“Based on the fact that the Iranian government is severely fractured,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
‘At the request of Pakistan Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, we have been asked to continue our attack on the Country of Iran until its leaders and representatives present a common proposal.’
Trump added: ‘Therefore I have directed our Military to maintain the Blockade and remain ready and capable in all other respects, and therefore I will extend the Armistice until proposals are presented and discussions concluded one way or another.’
Before Trump’s statement, JD Vance canceled his trip to Pakistan for the peace summit with Iran.
The Vice President was expected to lead US talks with Iran in Islamabad before the two-week ceasefire ends at 8pm on Wednesday.
Tehran has previously said it has no plans to pursue a new round of talks with the United States due to Trump’s naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Associated Press, Trump said Vance was expected to leave Washington for Pakistan on Tuesday morning, but those plans were canceled entirely.
As chaos emerged around Iran’s refusal to continue negotiations, Trump, speaking to CNBC on Tuesday morning, had previously claimed that he would continue bombing if Tehran refused to come to the table.
